Wild and Wonder-filled Learning
Arc Through 8th
Our opening session offers a comprehensive view of the developmental journey from first grade through eighth grade, as expressed through the experience of a Waldorf-trained grade teacher. In this one-on-one conversation, we walk through the intentional sequence of the curriculum year by year, highlighting how each stage builds upon the last—academically, socially, and developmentally. Parents gain a clear understanding of why certain subjects are introduced when they are, how skills mature over time, and how the early years prepare students for confident, rigorous work in middle school and beyond-- providing invaluable perspective, helping you see the long arc of education and where your child stands within it.
Grade-Specific Goals
In our second session, we focus closely on your child’s current grade and their unique developmental milestones. Together, we explore the academic expectations, social growth, and inner capacities being cultivated at their upcoming stages. You will gain clarity around what truly matters right now—what to emphasize, what to gently hold, and what can wait. This conversation equips parents with practical insights and confidence, ensuring that home support aligns meaningfully with the year's goals.
Educating the whole Child
Education is more than academics alone. In our third session, we explore how lessons are designed to engage thinking, feeling, and willing—head, heart, and hands. You will learn how artistic work, movement, storytelling, and practical activities strengthen focus, resilience, creativity, and critical thinking alongside academic skills, with practical examples. This deeper understanding allows parents to appreciate the profound intention behind the approach and to carry aspects of it into daily home life.
Mentorship & Observations
Our final session centers fully on your teaching as a parent. Drawing from observation and experience, we offer thoughtful guidance tailored to your child’s temperament, strengths, and growth areas. Parents receive concrete suggestions, encouragement, and next steps to support their child's development, both academically and personally. This is dedicated, individualized mentorship—time to ask meaningful questions, gain perspective, and feel truly supported in your role as a guide in your child’s educational journey.
