Cayucos Caregivers' Circle

Honoring the rhythm of early childhood through community and connection

Where little ones blossom and caregivers find their village

Our Time Together

Join us for a gentle morning of connection, community, and meaningful early childhood experiences. The Cayucos Caregivers’ Circle is a nurturing space where caregivers and their little ones can gather for seasonal activities, breadmaking, social play, and thoughtful conversations about child development. Each gathering honors the rhythm of early childhood while creating a village of support for families during these precious early years. Come slow down, connect, and grow alongside your child in a warm and welcoming community.

Seasonal Gatherings

Morning Breadmaking

Breadmaking is a beloved part of our early childhood rhythm—a simple, hands-on experience that invites children and caregivers into the joy of creating something together. Through kneading dough, noticing textures, and sharing the finished bread, children engage their senses, build confidence, and experience the warmth of meaningful work. This timeless activity nurtures connection, patience, and a sense of belonging while honoring the beauty found in everyday moments.

Developmental Discussions

Our developmental conversations offer caregivers a thoughtful space to explore the stages of early childhood, child development, and the needs of the growing child. Through a Waldorf-inspired lens, we reflect on creating nurturing rhythms, supporting independence, and understanding the unique journey of each child while learning alongside a community of fellow caregivers.

Seasonal Group Craft

Through seasonal crafting and handwork, caregivers and children are invited to slow down and create together using simple, natural materials. These meaningful activities nurture creativity, fine motor development, and a connection to the changing seasons while honoring the beauty of handmade work and the joy of the process.

Social Freeplay

Social free play gives children the opportunity to explore, imagine, and connect at their own pace within a warm and supportive environment. Through open-ended play with other children, little ones develop communication skills, confidence, creativity, and the foundations of friendship while caregivers witness the natural unfolding of early childhood relationships.

Cayucos Caregivers' Circle

When what we introduce into the children’s world of ideas and feelings is in line with the direction of the developmental forces of a given stage of life, we strengthen the entire developing person in a way that remains a source of strength throughout that person’s life.
